Two surfers have died in separate incidents along the NSW coast on Easter Sunday.
Just after 4pm yesterday, emergency services were called Killick Beach at Hat Head, on the Mid North Coast, after reports a man had been pulled from the water unconscious.
Onlookers and other surfers gave CPR to the man – aged 64 – until paramedics arrived, however he was unable to be saved and died at the scene.

A post-mortem exam will be conducted later this week to determine his exact cause of death.
Police are preparing a report for the coroner.
Later that same day, just before 5pm, emergency services responded to reports that a man had been spotted unconscious in the water at Minnie Water, near Grafton.

Police as well as paramedics and the Westpac Rescue Helicopter attended and winched the man from the sea at the Illaroo campground at Minnie Water, however he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers from Coffs/Clarence Police District have spoken with witnesses and will prepare a report for the coroner.
