Eleven men arrested after alleged home invasion and kidnapping

Eleven men have been arrested after a man was allegedly kidnapped during a home invasion and held hostage at a warehouse in Sydney's south-west.

Police have been told a group of men – one armed with a firearm – forced their way into the home on Jersey Road at Bringelly around 3am.

The group allegedly assaulted a 61-year-old resident, before they abducted a 37-year-old man and forced him into a vehicle outside.

The older man sustained minor injuries and was treated by paramedics at the scene.

A crime scene was established before detectives from the State Crime Command's Robbery and Serious Crime Squad began an investigation.

The investigation culminated in a siege involving the Tactical Operations Unit and police negotiators at an industrial warehouse at Marigold Street in Revesby.

Officers established a perimeter and following negotiations, the 37-year-old Bringelly man was released into police custody.

The man was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries to his head and face.

The situation escalated when the Revesby warehouse was allegedly set on fire, before eight men were arrested by tactical police.

A further three men were arrested after arriving in a vehicle to the property during the operation.

Fire and Rescue NSW remain on the scene and are working to extinguish the blaze.

The men have been taken to Liverpool and Bankstown Police Stations, where charges are expected to be laid.
