A US teenager survived being sucked down a storm drain during heavy flooding in Illinois.
Sebastian Calderon was playing with his friend in the town of Marissa on Saturday when the incident occurred, local outlet WGN9 reported.
The 13-year-old said he had gone to pick up a ball from a flooded creek when the current dragged him into the drain.

"When I first went in I started to pray … I kept using my hand to see if it was out of water so I could come up and get some breath," Sebastian said.
"Then I just kept going and at the end I started seeing drains. I kept trying to grab onto them but I couldn't. So, then I saw the end so I just let it take me to the end."
His mother, Chrissy Stoddard, and friend, Xavier Trammeal, were frantic with worry at the other end.

Ms Stoddard fell into the creek as well, but her husband managed to pull her out before she was also dragged into the drain.
A firefighter was able to rescue Sebastian at the end of his ride.
The teen was unhurt save for a few scratches and bumps.
