A Melbourne man will front court today charged with murdering an elderly woman inside her home.
A 49-year-old Blackburn man has been charged with murder after the 77-year-old woman was found dead inside her Blackburn home on Monday night.

Police discovered her body after attending the Whitehorse Road property just after 7pm to conduct a welfare check on the woman.
Detectives said the pair were known to each other.
The man is expected to appear at Melbourne Magistrates' Court later today.
