Police are searching for a man involved in an alleged road rage attack that left a Victorian man seriously injured.
Investigators were told a 54-year-old man was driving a white ute along Wiltshire Lane in Delacombe, near Ballarat, when a car pulled out in front of him about 6.35pm on May 13.
The man, from Wendouree, overtook the vehicle, believed to be a 2010 silver Ford Falcon, before the unknown driver followed him into a carpark on the Glenelg Highway.

A verbal altercation erupted between the men before the Falcon driver allegedly hit the victim several times in the upper body, causing him to fall and hit his head on the ground.
"The offender got back in his vehicle and drove away in an unknown direction, leaving the victim with serious head, facial and hand injuries," Victoria Police said in a statement.
CCTV footage has been released by police of a Ford Falcon sedan and a man who they believe can assist with their enquiries.

The man is perceived to be Caucasian in appearance, aged between 20 and 25 years, with an athletic build, brown hair and approximately 193cm tall.
He was wearing a black long-sleeve jumper, black shorts and was barefoot.
In a separate, unrelated incident, police are also investigating an alleged assault of a woman where a man banged on her car window before opening the door and striking her in Melbourne's east earlier this year.
The 46-year-old woman was sitting in her car parked under a carport at her Lincoln Road property in Croydon about 7.55pm on April 29, when the alleged assault occurred.
The victim was taken to hospital with serious facial injuries and the offender fled the scene in an unknown direction.
A computer-generated image has been released of a man who police believe may be able to assist them with their enquiries.
