Ex-soldier pleads guilty to sniper execution of former Rebels bikie boss

The man accused of the sniper shooting murder of former Rebels bikie boss Nick Martin in Perth has pleaded guilty to the killing in court.

The man's identity can't be revealed for legal reasons, but he is an ex-soldier.

Mr Martin, who was 51 at the time of his death, was gunned down from long-range at a family-oriented motorsports event at the Kwinana Motorplex in December 2020.

The bullet went through Mr Martin's chest, also injuring his son-in-law and a five-year-old boy nearby.

In March, detectives arrested and charged the former soldier with Mr Martin's murder.

The man, who appeared via video link from prison today, will be sentenced in December.
