Australia reaches 90 per cent single jab milestone

A total of 90 per cent of Australians have now had their first COVID-19 vaccination.

The country passed the single-dose milestone early on Friday afternoon.

A total of 82.4 per cent of eligible adults are fully vaccinated.

The nation as a whole passed the 80 per cent fully vaccinated milestone last weekend.

The figures are for eligible adults over 16.

GPs, pharmacies and state-run hubs — including drive-through clinics — are all doing vaccinations with AstraZeneca, Pfizer and Moderna. You can make a vaccination booking here.

Here are the latest state and territory breakdowns according to the Australian Government.

The numbers are for eligible adults as published on November 12.

New South Wales

Official data shows 94.1 per cent of people have had a single jab, while 90.8 per cent are fully vaccinated.

Victoria

In Victoria, 92.6 per cent of residents have rolled up their sleeves once, according to national data.

A total of 86.6 per cent are fully vaccinated.

Queensland

The Sunshine State has given 81.1 per cent of eligible people one dose, and 69.4 per cent have had both. The state has revealed more about its reopening plans for the unvaccinated.

South Australia

South Australia has had 84.9 per cent of eligible residents have their first dose, while 72.9 per cent of them are fully dosed.

Western Australia

In Western Australia, 82 per cent have had their first jab and 68.9 per cent are fully vaccinated.

In the ACT, more than 95 per cent of people have had both doses.

Northern Territory

In the NT, 83.1 per cent have had at least one dose, and 69.5 per cent are fully vaccinated.

Tasmania

In Tasmania, 91.1 per cent of eligible residents had had one dose, while 81.1 per cent are fully jabbed.
