One person has been killed and another is critically injured after an alleged hit-and-run in Carrum Downs, Melbourne.
Initially it was believed two cars had been involved in a crash just after 7am, closing off Hall Road.
9News understands a red Holden struck a group of workers on the road at 7.15am.

He allegedly abandoned the car and victims before getting into a black Hyundai SUV.
It was last seen heading eastbound on Ballerto Road at 7.45am.
