Prime Minister Scott Morrison will send letters to all Australian homes asking people to book in for a third COVID-19 vaccine.
It comes as national campaign spruiking booster shots kicks off today.
A third coronavirus shot is recommended six months after receiving the second, to combat waning immunity.
However infectious disease experts have said healthy people don't need "to rush".

"I don't think we have to rush and get a third shot, potentially you might get more benefit if you wait a while," infectious diseases expert at the Australian National University, Professor Peter Collignon told 3AW's Ross and Russel.
"Winter is our next big risk and we will be in a good position to give a boost, or a third shot, to those who need it before our next big risk."
To date, 86.0 per cent of Australians aged 16 and over are double vaccinated.
