This is one of several shark sightings along the Perth coastline in the past few days, with Whitfords Beach and the beach at Pinnaroo Point also closed as a precaution.

Fisheries and Surf Life Saving WA also confirmed sightings at the Lancelin jetty, Lady Edeline Beach, Rottnest Island and Hilary's Beach between Nodes and Breakwater in the past 24 hours.

Swimmers are advised to stay out of the water in these areas or swim at their own risk.
