A 49-year-old man has been arrested after another man was gunned down on a suburban street in southeast Melbourne.
Police came to Lecky Street in Cranbourne after getting reports of gunshots about 8pm last night.
When they arrived, they found a man dead in the street.

Police then arrested a 49-year-old. He remains in custody but has not been charged.
The dead man has not yet been identified.
In a statement, police said they do not believe the death is linked to other recent shootings.
