The moment a superyacht sank in the Mediterranean Sea off the coast of Italy has been caught on camera.
The 40-metre vessel got into trouble about 14.5km off the Catanzaro Marina in Italy, the Italian coastguard has advised.
The coastguard rescued the four passengers and five crew members who were onboard the yacht.

However, the coastguard has advised in a statement shared on Facebook that the worsening of the weather and sea conditions meant the yacht sank in a short time and was unable to be retrieved from the sea.
The Catanzaro Coast Guard is investigating what caused the yacht to sink.
