McDonald's drive-through workers deal with plenty of customers but one hitchhiker in the New South Wales Hunter region proved particularly scary.
A snake had taken up residence in the bonnet of a woman's car but she only realised something was wrong when someone started filming her.
The driver calmly parked her car and informed the staff who made a call to have the snake rescued.

The woman suspects the snake was on the bonnet for about four hours.
It is not the first unexpected customer McDonald's staff have had this week.
A horse was spotted taking a trip through a drive-through on the NSW Central Coast earlier this week.
A stunned customer in the neighbouring lane captured the animal eagerly waiting for his soft serve ice cream in the backseat of his owner's car.
