Two men are in hospital after they were stabbed in two separate locations across Brisbane's Bayside on Friday night.
Police have now linked the incidents and are hunting for those responsible, as the attackers remain on the run.
A string of ambulances surprised residents in Wynnum when they showed up to the scene of the first brutal attack, where a 31-year-old man was stabbed up to seven times.
"There were just car, police, ambulances everywhere ... pretty scary being next door," neighbour Josh Davie told 9News.

The 31-year-old was taken to hospital in a serious but stable condition with wounds to his arms, legs, face and back.
"Apparently two men have come into my home, I don't know what they were thinking, but apparently one of them has stabbed my partner," Sonia Johnson told 9News.
Then, just half an hour later, a second attack took place - this time in Cleveland.
It's understood a man in his 20s was struck multiple times with a hammer before he was abducted.
He was later found on the side of the road with a stab wound in Alexandra Hills after residents in surrounding houses responded to his calls for help.

"There were at least half a dozen, helping him out up there," neighbour Kevin Austin told 9News.
The man in his 20s was taken to hospital in a critical condition, where he was treated for head injuries, a punctured lung and fractured ribs.
Police say neither of the attacks were random and believed them to be linked, as they continue their investigations.
