Police are on a hunt for answers after dozens of women in Melbourne's south-east reported opening packages containing suspected-used condoms and handwritten letters addressed to their home.
Officers say the parcels have been sent to more than 65 women around the Bayside area – about 20 kilometres from the CBD – over the course of a three-month period.
The first incident was reported on March 20, with the most recent occurring on May 15.

A link between the packages and the women has so far not been revealed, though officers believe the attack is targeted.
The Bayside Sexual Offences and Child Abuse Investigation Team are now appealing to the public for more information.
Most parcels contained both condoms as well as letters, but police did not reveal the notes' contents.
Most of the women who reported the horrific discovery have since received multiple letters, all with suspected-used condoms included.
Investigations are ongoing.
