Homicide squad investigating after man found critically injured inside car

Paramedics have been unable to save a man who was found inside a car in Melbourne's north-west with critical injuries.

Emergency services were called to help the man who was found inside a car on Vaucluse Boulevard in Taylors Hill about 11.30pm yesterday.

Ambulance crews treated him at the scene but he died in the early hours of this morning.

Homicide Squad detectives are investigating the death, with police confirming the man is not have believed to have suffered the injuries due to a car crash.

But a car with a damaged bonnet was was among several cars cordoned off behind police tape after the death.
