IGA has announced it will drop the prices on 860 "products focused on winter" over 13 weeks to help families save money on their grocery bills.
The promotion is the supermarket network's "biggest-ever program of value", Metcash Food chief executive Grant Ramage has told Today.
The 860 items will be among 3000 items that will have the prices locked for the next 13 weeks.

"We understand people are doing it tough, the cost-of-living is biting and the community is feeling it," Ramage said.
"The idea is that you can confidently shop in your local store knowing you're not paying more."
The sale comes after a report by Finder has revealed 43 per cent of Aussies now cite grocery shopping as one their top three "most stressful expenses"
It also follows competitor supermarket chain Woolworths announcing earlier this month that it was lowering the prices of more than 450 "winter essentials" for three months as Australian families face the rising cost-of-living.
