Man dies after alleged stabbing at unit block in Brisbane's west

A man has died after he was allegedly stabbed during an altercation last night in Brisbane's west.

Police found the 63-year-old Riverview man with serious wounds after they were called to a unit block on Mine Street at Redbank about 10.25pm.

The man was treated by paramedics, but died a short time later.

A 28-year-old Boronia Heights man was taken into custody at the scene and is now assisting police with enquiries.

A crime scene remains in place as police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the alleged stabbing.
