Death at Adelaide prison treated as 'suspicious'

Police are treating the death of a person at a Adelaide Prison yesterday as "suspicious".

Emergency service crews and police were notified of the death after they were called to the Yatala Labour Prison in Northfield just after 5.30pm yesterday afternoon.

Major Crime detectives, forensic investigators and Police Corrections Section officers are investigating the suspicious death.

Yatala Labour Prison, in Adelaide's north-east, holds hundreds of high-to-medium security male prisoners.
