Several unaccounted for as work to ID wedding bus crash victims goes on

The heartbreaking work to identify the victims of the Hunter Valley wedding bus crash continues today, with several names now confirmed.

So far, 10 people have been confirmed dead in the Sunday night crash, with multiple others currently in hospital.

The driver, 58-year-old Brett Button, has been charged and will face court today.

Hunter Valley bus crash

The bus had been returning from the wedding reception of Mitchell Gaffney and Maddy Edsell at the nearby Wandin Estate winery, when it overturned at a roundabout near Greta.

Among those unaccounted for are Bec Mullen, and mum and daughter Nadene and Kyah McBride.

Police have notified the next of kin of those they've identified as best they can.

The community, meanwhile, continues to mourn, with a number of locals caught up in the tragedy.

Many guests at the wedding were believed to be members of the Singleton Roosters Australian Rules football team.

Guests at the wedding also included players from Warrandyte Cricket Club in Melbourne, where Gaffney used to play.
