The majority of ferry services have been terminated both arriving and departing from Circular Quay since about 7am.

Sydney Ferries is urging passengers to "make alternative arrangements or allow plenty of extra travel time".

Weatherzone does not believe it will beat the next longest streak of 25 days from 2021 as there is plenty of wet weather expected in this coming week.

"Sydney's longest rainless streak was 48 days from July 17, 1995 to September 3, 1995."

Across the country, the capitals are looking fairly dry with tops of 22 in Sydney, 16 in Melbourne, 25 in Brisbane, 18 in Perth, 23 in Adelaide, 14 in Hobart, 19 in Canberra and 30 in Darwin expected.
