Woman charged over role in deadly crash NSW Riverina

A woman has been charged over her alleged role in a crash which killed a woman and three young boys in the NSW Riverina region.

NSW Police allege the incident began when a resident was threatened after their door was kicked in on Cudgel Street in Yanco, near Griffith, just after 11pm on April 4.

"About 15 minutes later, a vehicle being driven along Research Road left the road and crashed," NSW Police said in a statement.

A man charged with the murder of a 71-year-old woman in 2018 is expected to appear in Wagga Wagga Local Court today.

"The occupants of the vehicle – a 36-year-old woman and three boys aged 10, 11 and 12 – all died at the scene."

A 32-year-old man has already been charged and is before the courts.

"A 50-year-old woman was arrested at Griffith Police Station about 1pm yesterday," police said.

"She was charged with predatory driving, driver not disclose identity of driver/passenger as required and hinder investigation serious indictable offence of other."

The woman was refused bail and is expected to appear in Wagga Wagga local court today.
