Driver crashes stolen truck into Sydney home, flees on foot

Police are on the hunt for a driver who crashed a stolen truck into a south-western Sydney home overnight before fleeing on foot.

Emergency crews were called to the scene at Gilchrist Drive in Campbelltown just before 5am on Saturday after reports of a serious crash.

They were met with carnage on arrival, with an eight-wheeled truck having slammed into the fence of a property and into parked cars.

The driver had fled the scene before police arrived, though it was determined the truck was stolen. 

Vision shows trees ripped from the ground and significant damage to at least one parked car.

No injuries were reported during the ordeal. 

A crime scene has been established and investigations are continuing.

Police are appealing to the public to come forward if they may know any information relating to the crash.
