How Nine will cover the Olympic Games

Today marks the beginning of the one-year countdown to the opening ceremony for the Games of the XXXIII Olympiad, and Australians can expect round-the-clock coverage in 2024.

Nine, the publisher of this website, has revealed today plans for 24-hour coverage across metropolitan and regional TV, streaming, audio, publishing and online.

The Wide World of Sports team will run dedicated Olympics channels on Channel 9 and 9Gem, 24 hours a day.

There will also be 40 individual channels live and on-demand ensuring no event featuring an Australian need be missed.

Stan will debut an all-Olympics channel.

Up-to-the-minute Olympics news will also come to Aussie living rooms from both around the country and over in Paris - including the Today Show broadcasting live from the French capital.

Ongoing updates, wraps and highlights packages will also roll out during the event.

Nine has also pledged to take Paris 2024 into a "new era", with its radio channels 2GB, 3AW, 4BC and 6PR providing linear, digital streaming, and podcast coverage.

During the Paralympics, there will be at least 14 hours a day free-to-air coverage, along with streaming, radio, and publishing.

And you will of course be able to follow all the emotions of the Games 24/7 at nine.com.au, 9news.com.au and WWOS.com.au.
