Two fatal crashes on Sydney's roads within 40 minutes

Two Sydneysiders have died overnight after crashes within 40 minutes of each other on New South Wales roads overnight.

The first crash was in the city's north-west when a Honda motorcycle and Nissan Navara collided in Cherrybrook around 11pm.

The motorbike rider, believed to be a man in his 20s, died at the scene.

Fatal crash in Cherrybrook, NSW.

He is yet to be identified.

The 20-year-old male driver of the car was uninjured and taken to Hornsby Hospital for mandatory testing.

"He was arrested and taken to Castle Hill Police Station before being released pending further investigation," police said.

An investigation into the crash is underway.

Fatal crash in Ingleburn, NSW.

The second crash was in the city's south-west where a Nissan Skyline crashed into a parked truck in Ingleburn just before midnight.

The 25-year-old female passenger died at the scene.

She is also yet to be formally identified.

The 24-year-old male driver suffered minor injuries and was taken to Liverpool Hospital for mandatory testing, where he remains under police guard.

An investigation into the crash is continuing.
