Food processor recalled over risk of lacerations

Owners of a food processor sold at Target have been urged to stop using it immediately or risk potential lacerations.

Product Standards Australia issued a recall notice for the AYONZ Pty Ltd Brooklyn Rechargeable Mini Food Chopper BMC-300, a metallic food processor with a glass bowl.

The processor was recalled because it can be operated when not locked into the glass bowl, exposing rotating blades.

PSA warned that there was a risk of serious injury, including lacerations.

It said people had already been injured using the processor.

Owners are urged to stop using the product and return it to Target for a full refund.

The processor was sold nationally and online from June 8 to August 7 this year.
