'Serious concerns' for missing 90-year-old who disappeared at 4.30am

Police are appealing for help to find a missing 90-year-old man who has dementia after he disappeared from a western Sydney nursing home at 4.30am today.

John Master-Brown was seen leaving a nursing home in Northumberland Road, Auburn, in the early hours of this morning.

When he did not return and couldn't be located, he was reported missing and a search to find him commenced.

Master-Brown is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 177cm tall with a white beard and white hair which is normally tied in a ponytail.

He was last seen wearing a light grey jacket, black track pants and black sneakers.

He is known to frequent the Haberfield and Annandale areas.

Police say that Master-Brown has dementia and may appear disorientated. 

They have serious concerns for his welfare.
