Motorists were warned of delays after a truck lost its load of frozen chickens.
All directions on Jedda Road at the Bernera Road roundabout at Prestons were affected shortly after 8:30am, with drivers urged to exercise caution and expect delays.
Emergency services attended the scene and filled a crate with the spilt meat.
An hour later, by 9:30am, the load of chickens was cleared and traffic was "back to normal".
Sydneysiders were told to exercise caution when travelling in the area.
