Teenager killed, one arrested in alleged stabbing in rural NSW town

A teenager has died after a fatal stabbing in a rural New South Wales town.

A 16-year-old boy was found with stab injuries to his neck at a home on Nymagee Street, Narromine at 9pm last night. 

He was treated by paramedics and rushed to Dubbo airport, where he died.

Police have arrested a 26-year-old man from a nearby home, he was taken to Dubbo Police Station where he is "assisting with inquiries".

An investigation has been launched into the investigation.

Narromine is a town of about 3500 people in central-northern NSW.
