Rifle, crossbow, and inert bomb seized at SA property

A man has been reported to police after they seized a large cache of weapons and ammunition from a property in South Australia last week.

Police made the discovery after executing a search at a home in Yorketown on May 9 about 2.20pm.

More than 4000 rounds of ammunition, a semi-automatic rifle, a crossbow, and an inert explosive were seized.

Police also located and seized a small amount of cannabis.

A 50-year-old local man was reported for possession of insecure, unregistered, unlicensed C Class firearm, prohibited item, and insecure ammunition.

He was also issued a cannabis expiation notice. He will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
