Investigations underway after motorbike rider dies in Logan

A motorbike rider has died following a car crash in Logan, south of Brisbane, overnight.

Emergency services were called to the intersection of Harburg Drive and Logan River Road in Beenleigh about 7pm.

Investigators believe the crash occurred when a white Mazda 3, turning right onto Harburg Drive, collided with a Suzuki RN85 motorbike traveling west along Logan River Road.

The motorbike rider, a 29-year-old man from Holmview, was found with critical injuries.

He died at the scene despite efforts to revive him.

The driver of the Mazda, a 26-year-old man from Bethania, was the sole occupant and was unharmed.
