The New South Wales Government has announced it will "go it alone" and fund an extension of the JobSaver COVID-19 financial support program for small and medium businesses.
The move comes after the Federal Government announced it will end its pandemic financial support for NSW businesses by the end of October - when the state is set to reach 80 per cent full vaccination.
Today, NSW Treasurer Dominic Perrottet said the state government will continue to fund its 50 per cent share of JobSaver until November 30.

"We always said from the outset that success for New South Wales won't be the Budget position, but keeping as many people in work and as many businesses in business during this difficult time," Mr Perrottet said.
"We know that when we do open up at 70 per cent and 80 per cent there will be still some restrictions in place, that businesses will not be operating at full capacity, so by maintaining the New South Wales government's contribution to this program, it will allow many businesses the support they need as we move from response to recovery."
Mr Perrottet said he remained confident that the NSW economy will bounce back from the state's lockdowns.
Premier Gladys Berejiklian said the extension of the JobSaver funding would give businesses confidence they could weather the pandemic.
"The continuation of JobSaver over the next two months will give businesses across NSW the financial support they need to get them through the challenge of reopening their doors," Ms Berejiklian said.

New South Wales today recorded 941 new local cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.
Four men and two women have died with the virus.
