Man stabbed in chest at Western Sydney football game

A 29-year-old man is recovering in hospital after he was stabbed in the chest at a Western Sydney football match on Saturday.

Police were called to a carpark at a sportsground on Pembroke Road, Leumeah, at about 1.35pm, following reports of a stabbing.

Upon arrival, several people involved in the incident allegedly fled the scene.

A man has been stabbed in the chest at a western Sydney football match.

The injured man was taken to Liverpool Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with mobile footage to come forward.

Investigations are ongoing.
