Lisa Marie Presley in hospital after suspected cardiac arrest

Lisa Marie Presley has reportedly suffered a cardiac arrest this morning, just 48 hours after she attended the Golden Globes.

TMZ has reported that Presley, daughter of music icon Elvis, collapsed at her home in Calabasas, California, with paramedics called in urgently.

Presley, 54, regained her pulse before she was transported to hospital.

Her mother Priscilla is by her side, and has issued a brief statement.

"My beloved daughter Lisa Marie was rushed to the hospital," she said.

"She is now receiving the best care. Please keep her and our family in your prayers."

Presley recently celebrated what would have been her father's 88th birthday.

On Tuesday she attended the Golden Globes in support of Austin Butler, who played the role of Elvis in Baz Luhrmann's eponymous biopic.

Butler won the Golden Globe for the role, with Presley praising his performance.
