Woman crushed in alleged hit-run in Victoria

A woman has been rushed to hospital after she was crushed between her car and another, in an alleged hit-run in Melbourne's east.

Police said the woman was getting items out of her parked car on Tunstall Road in Donvale about 10pm last night.

It is believed a red Mazda CX-5 drove passed the woman and crushed her between the Mazda and her car.

The 50-year-old woman from Box Hill, was taken to hospital with lacerations to her head.

Police said the driver of the Mazda failed to stop at the scene.

Investigators believe the car involved will be missing a left side mirror and may have damage to front and rear lights.
