Gravediggers alerted emergency workers after they noticed blood and fresh cement near a grave.

The woman was dragged from the plot by emergency workers after spending 10-hours underground.

She's in intensive care and her finger may have to be amputated, hospital staff say.

It is alleged the mother-of-four was beaten and dragged from her home on 28 March before she was left at the cemetery.

The woman's cries were heard coming from the tomb.

Police confirm two men have been arrested, and they are searching for a third.

"There is still an individual who is on the run," police chief Douglas Moto said.

"We are still working incessantly to be able to locate this individual and as soon as possible make the arrest and then, leave them at the disposal of the justice."

The arrested pair - aged 20 and 22 - are known to police and have been arrested on weapons and drug trafficking charges before.

They remain in custody.

The woman indicated the ordeal started after she "misplaced" drugs and weapons stored at her home.
