Xbox fans have 25 new reasons to get excited today, as the gaming giants laid out all the video games coming in months and years ahead.
Fans got a fresh look at 11 first-party games by Xbox, with Fable, Avowed, Senua's Saga: Hellblade II, and Bethesda's long-awaited Starfield.
Fourteen other games were showcased by third-party studios, including an all-new Star Wars game by Ubisoft.

On the hardware front, Xbox also announced an updated Xbox Series S console, which is coming later this year in a carbon black colour and increased 1TB of storage.
Here are some of the big highlights from the Xbox Showcase.
Starfield
We finally have our first in-depth look at Starfield and it's shaping up to be something special. Leaning on more of a 'realistic' space exploration experience, don't expect to walk into a space bar with dozens of alien species. This isn't Star Wars.
During the 45-minute Starfield Direct, we received a detailed look at exploration, combat, shipbuilding, quests, and character creation - just to name a few. There's been a dark cloud hanging over Xbox's head and the feeling is Starfield is the one to clear it (I'll eat my words otherwise). Starfield is coming to Xbox Series X|S and PC on September 6, it'll also be on Xbox Game Pass day one.
Fable
Fable opened the show with our first look at the game since the series began back in 2004. The comical trailer featured a quick glimpse of in-engine gameplay, fronted by actor Richard Ayoade, from The IT Crowd, who plays an angry, yet somehow placid, giant.
Fable is yet to receive a release date, but Xbox has assured it's coming day one Xbox Game Pass.

South of Midnight
Set in the American Deep South, South of Midnight is a third-person fantasy action-adventure from the creators of We Happy Few and Contrast. While we didn't see much on the gameplay front, the concept is giving off good vibes. It's in development by Compulsion Games, an Xbox studio, and is set for release next year.
Star Wars Outlaws
An open-world Star Wars game is on the way set between the events of The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. A trailer for the game was shown, but it didn't give us a taste of how we can expect the game to play. Star Wars Outlaws is coming to consoles and PC next year, we can expect to see more from this game at the Ubisoft Forward on Tuesday.
Avowed
Obsidian Entertainment's Avowed sees you wield swords, cast powerful spells and explore a magical land plagued by dark magic. The trailer offered a smorgasbord of combat types and enemies in a detailed open world. Obsidian Entertainment's Avowed is coming next year to Xbox Series X|S and PC. It'll be on Game Pass day one.
Flight Simulator 2024
A new Flight Simulator game has been unveiled by Xbox Game Studios, this time with a heavy focus on building a career in the aviation world. Deliver cargo, conduct risky rescue operations, fight wildfires and more.
Xbox also shared news of a Dune DLC, where you can fly the House Atreides Ornithopter, which is coming to Flight Simulator in November to coincide with the release of Dune: Part Two.
Senua's Saga: Hellblade II
Senua's story continues in Hellblade II, a showcase of technology in its own right. Developed by Ninja Theory, Senua's Saga: Hellblade II has the game's engine on show, with impressive sound and visuals. Senua's Saga: Hellblade II is coming to Xbox Series X|S and PC in 2024.
Forza Motorsport
Forza Motorsport is the latest in the Forza series, offering a detailed and realistic racing experience. Forza Motorsport boasts over 500 customisable cars and world-famous tracks. It's coming to Xbox Series X|S and PC on October 10.
Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty
Keanu Reeves took to the screen to showcase the upcoming Cyberpunk 2077 DLC; Phantom Liberty. Penned as a 'spy-thriller' expansion to the game, the update features a new map location, Dogtown, and an updated cast including the likes of Idris Elba.
Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty is coming to Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PC on September 26.
