A woman is dead and a man seriously injured after a large tree branch fell in Darwin's botanical gardens yesterday afternoon.
Emergency services were called to the George Brown Botanic Gardens at about 12.50pm.
A 28-year-old woman died at the scene.

A 33-year-old man was injured and taken to Royal Darwin Hospital.
Police cordoned off the scene yesterday afternoon and asked people to avoid the area.
