Driver on the run, motorcycle rider seriously injured after alleged road rage incident

Police are searching for the driver of a white Mazda after an alleged road rage incident in western Sydney left a motorcycle rider seriously injured overnight.

Emergency services were called to the intersection of Reservoir Road and Penny Place at Blacktown about 10pm yesterday following reports a rider had fallen onto the road.

Paramedics treated an 18-year-old man at the scene before he was taken to Westmead Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

Police are searching for the driver of a white Mazda involved in an alleged road rage attack in western Sydney that has left a motorcycle rider seriously injured

Police said officers were told the rider and male driver of a vehicle were allegedly involved in a physical altercation.

It's believed the rider attempted to leave but lost control and fell from the bike, police said.

The other man allegedly returned to his car, described as a white Mazda, and drove away.

Police said the vehicle was last seen travelling southbound along Reservoir Road.
