A worker in a Northern Territory gold mine has tested positive for coronavirus, health officials have confirmed.
The worker, who is understood to have caught the virus in Brisbane, is employed at the Newmont-owned Granites gold mine in the Tanami Desert, around 540 kilometres north-west of Alice Springs.
NT health officials are due to hold a briefing at 12:30pm (AEST).
