News copter spots Melbourne youths on 14-storey climb

A group of youths have been filmed climbing the iconic Nylex Clock structure in Cremorne, Melbourne.

The trio were spotted by a 9News helicopter as they scaled the 14-storey structure just before 5pm yesterday.

They were even spotted dangling from the derelict siloes at the site.

The youths took a picture of their feet before climbing down.

The climb up and down took about half an hour.

Once the group had made their way back to the ground, they jumped the fence and left on foot.

Police had been called to the site earlier that afternoon just after 2pm.

A spokesperson confirmed police had been called after teens were spotted scaling a building on Gough Street, before returning to the ground at 2.30pm.

Police spoke to three teens nearby and issued a move-on direction.
